Pride is a conduit for being your best and living out your passions and beliefs. Being humble is also positive. So are being sweet and nice. But none of those are meant to be at the expense of your self-esteem. So if you can be humble, sweet and nice AND KICK ASS, then do that.
The new Director of Care was the senior person on the staff when her boss was fired. Despite her previous position, she had a reputation of cautiousness and only communicating with others after she was certain of the whole picture. Not surprising that the delays are occurring.
Everyone seems to be getting along. After all, they come to work everyday and smile when you walk by. If people weren’t communicating well, you’d know! Right?

Today is a hard day while I give my grief space knowing I must mentally prepare for the next steps.
I know tomorrow, I will have to try to wake up that old spark of hope which is now being drenched in tears.
The boss’ wife told her that if this ever came out she would see to it that her husband would lose his job and that none of them would ever work in this town. She threatened to financially ruin the family if they tried to malign her husband.
I didn’t say any of this to her. That would have been my ego’s need to justify my own behaviors. It would only serve to make her feel badly. As soon as I heard that this was her father, I realized that she wasn’t a bitch, there was a lot more to the underlying story. Her anger was not from impatience, but from fear.
I was so clumsy and it was taking me so much concentration I thought I would just continue doing it wrong. But this lady insisted that I needed to learn to hold the needles this way.
Some people feel bad without any help and I had learned to feel guilty for anyone’s hurt feelings or any possible annoyance. Talk about sabotage!
When you go around feeling happy and open to others, it’s infectious. People want to be around you. It’s easier to influence others because happy people are perceived as more confident. When it’s time to be considered for a promotion, being rested, energized, passionate, confident, good at decisions and happy are great qualities in a person.
A VP of HR recently told me that one of her employees once cost her department $50,000 in legal fees to defend themselves against a false complaint to the union.
